Posted January 2nd, 2013 08:46 AM IPThis is kind of like the D.I.Y. movement made famous by Colt Cabana. The #7LevelsOfHate was put together on the backs of Pearce and Cabana. I hope that Kahagas and Corino can do the same thing and make this into something. You can't just wait for promoters anymore. It would be nice, but that doesn't happen as much. However, if Kahagas and Corino can get the NWA to buy into this... I think it could be a big deal for the NWA.

Posted January 9th, 2013 10:55 AM IPI'm not sure. Pearce routinely defended the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in promotions outside of the NWA... and on Television. WFX Wrestling is the First One I think of.

Ok Guys I usually try to keep quiet about this stuff but I want to address something so maybe people will understand things better
I have no inside knowledge abut this.. I am just guess based off of my experiance but I think 1 of the following happened
1.) They had a promotion who wanted to do the match but it fell through.. Maybe it was Ring Warriors or PWX in Florida for whom they both work for often or one of the Feds in the Mid-West or somewhere in NC where Steve Corino is currently living & Maybe it just is/was not in the card right now..
2.) They had no place that was interested in booking the match before hand but because they were friends they prolly set this up hoping some one would pick the ball up & run with it..Kahagas & Corino are friend so this is Plausible & it also brought some attention to Kahagas
3.) They have a place interested in booking it but not right away & this is just planting the seeds for something to come
Either way I doubt the NWA had anything to do with this & it would guess this is just Kahagas trying to do business for him self similar to how Cabana & Pearce ran with the 7 Levels thing..

Posted February 8th, 2013 11:40 AM IPSee now this is a major problem I have with the current NWA.
Carson was just the number 2 guy in the NWA belt wise (Holding the North American Title) and on this card he's wrestling the World Heavyweight Champion.
Now granted that match isn't a bad choice I should be a lot more excited. Carson should be seen as a star in my eyes but I'm so underwhelmed by both of these wrestlers that I don't care about the match which a month or so ago would of been 1 Vs 2.
This is why the NWA must build talent. 1 Vs 2 like in other sports should be a huge deal and draw a huge crowd. I bet this event draws it's regular fans in and that's it.
Might seem harsh but the NWA needs to make the fans care about this.
Upcoming Schedule :
02/01/2013 – TBA – West Palm Beach, FL. USA – NWA Underground
I suspect this one didn't happen. No info from NWA FUW so far.

Posted February 16th, 2013 08:42 PM IPI wonder why Portland wrestling did not acknowledge him as champion and he didn't wear the belt but they showed flashback clips of the old Portland wrestling. I don't see Piper being like "Hey, you can't wear your belt on tv". Not Roddy Piper.

Maybe because Portland Wrestling isn't part of the NWA so it wouldn't be in their best interest to allow Kahagas to show the Belt?

They're scheduled to get rematch at SCW in Seattle, WA. Not sure will the Title will be on the line or not since this SCW are not a part of the NWA. If the Title will be on the line, then, it will be the first time NWA Title has been defended in Washington since God Knows. Lets hope so.
Somehow, it is just me or the NWA now have stricter rules of defending the Title in the Outlaw Group compared to the previous Regime???

I don't get that logic since the promotion itself promote tradition.
They mentioned JD Maverick being a tv champion in OVW.

Posted February 17th, 2013 08:17 AM IPThat video of the Dominican Republic promotion hyping the NWA World Champion coming to town is pretty awesome. Granted the fans didn't particularly care about Kahagas they do care about the local guy and seem to genuinely want him to win. From crowd reaction alone this could be Kahagas' best title match to date.
As for the Portland thing. Why advertise the competition? The NWA is seen as a bit of a joke these days and it'd probably do nothing for them to have Kahagas come out with the NWA Title. If this was 1987 it'd make sense for him to come out with the title since it's a draw but these days it really isn't.
Also if you bring the title out on a show people are going to eventually expect title defenses and Portland Wrestling probably doesn't want to host NWA World Title matches.
