To steal an unfortunate line from today's headlines, this shows that the system worked. Possible explanations were identified, witnesses were contacted and the information (so obtained) was verified by close review of the film. Case closed. This brief episode provides a useful example of how matters such as this should be handled: promptly, professionally and with a minimum of public fanfare and hyped expectations. We're nursing a bit of disappointment, to be sure, but at least we're not wiping egg off our faces.
On the internet, no one knows you're a squatch. . .

I just have to say that I'm really proud of the BFRO and its associates for looking and looking into and at this, and then stating very clearly that the mystery figure looks human, rather than blindly insisting that it must be a Sasquatch, because we'd all love for that to be so. A good job well done.
(Better luck to us all next time!)

BFRO and also its associates, imho ...I also agree, that they go the extra mile in their scientific research.

It was definitely a fun experience. Although to this point above, the initial write-up was extremely pro-sasquatch in its assumptions. There were several bulleted paragraphs explaining exactly why it must be a sasquatch and how it couldn't have been a man. At points, it seemed to have crossed the line past science and into belief.

The initial burst of excitement is always the dangerous time. BFRO must maintain a healthy dose of skepticism if it wants to maintain its credibility. And that credibility is why I'm here and engaged, so please please don't go mucking that up.

My friends already tease me enough!

Wow, okay I am coming in late here, but....Can you honestly say that the blue ray image shows a "back pack?"

Try freezing it as the figure comes to a stop. What I see? something on the back MOVING. Check it out.

just sayin. I am not convinced this is a closed case. what would sink it for me is a producer speaking with the crew about this shot, and someone coming forward saying "yes that was me and this is what I was doing...."
