Although this is in its development stages you can see the potential. The footage of the robot negotiating the woodland terrain is interesting and who knows how far this technology will progress. Imagine when they can be programmed to operate on their own without cables and sending one into a squatchy area fitted with cameras.

Very cool video IntriguedLimey. The US Army has been experimenting with this too to apply robotics as pack animatrons. It may seem like a long ways down the road but it was only a few years ago that drones were exotic and now they sell them in hobby stores.

I could see a robot arousing the Sasquatch curiosity, and the Robot being immune to Sasquatch intimidation tactics. It could be a great application for robotics once the technology gets refined and the confidence that Sasquatch are real is more accepted and easier to find grants for funding.

Understanding that BF is curious & such, but why wouldn't they avoid the robots like they do humans, trail cams, etc??? It'll have to give off some type off electrical stuff like the cameras...., no??I like the idea, every little bit (large in this case, lol) helps...

That's a good point sascop31, but sasquatch don't always avoid humans. There are hundreds of reports of them watching people for prolonged periods, peeking into windows, messing with camp sites and such. One thing a robot could offer is 360 degrees of view if multiple cameras were installed. Place that kind of an array on a telescoping neck and you just might get lucky in the future.

You'd probably have to have the robot pretend to be sleeping, maybe a snoring mode so the Sasquatch feel comfortable coming in for a looky. *L*
