my bad, thought it was relevant to the subject matter being discussed, since this entire thread is discussing the why's and hows of the delay in the release of the information regarding the erickson project..

This is going to come up sooner or later anyway so I'll get it posted now.

I have one question and my "two cents" comments:

What is the deal with that sketch of a BF that always seems to be associated with this documentary?? The signature has a "09" year on it, and his name- so is that a sketch of the up-close "money shot" we've been hearing about?

First, if i were a scientist (which i sort of am) , and Mr. Pfohl (or whoever) came in to my office talking about how the Squatches have a taste for Ding Dongs and Twinkies, and occasionally McDonalds food - (although he's never seen them actually taking these snacks first hand)..........I'd probably be back up out the door too.
Scientific Proof and/or "interest", is always going to require TANGIBLE evidence, and not colourful hear-say , or images of sleeping BF's.

2nd- Unless the squatches they caught on video are either: 1.) very unusually Large, Bulky and muscular- or 2.- moving in such a way that a human could not possibly imitate....... then the scientific community is just gonna say it was a "staged presentation" of some sort.

That, in a nut shell, is always gonna be the basic problem with proving Squatches exist,.......ie. short of a body or some spectacular multi witness sighting.

Wildman or Camper's Boogieman? We'll see.....

We don't have the answer to that question. If you like you can send it directly to the Erickson Project and see if they can give you an answer.

If you were a good scientist, which you sort of are, I'd like to think that you'd look at all of the information that he brings to you and not ignore it all because you don't like one small section of it.

I'm concerned if the Erickson Project isn't released soon, it will be upstaged by information more compelling, and substantial. I'm sure this isn't the only ongoing project to scientifically prove biggie's existence.

According to that article, they now hope to have the DNA evidence by the end of the year? Are their scientists Harpo, Groucho and Chico? What the heck?

I think if they hadnt' bowed to pressure (if that was even the case), and never given a guess as to when it would come out, then maybe they'd have more credibility by now. I mean, if they really didn't know, they should have simply said, whenever the peer review is complete, and we have no idea how long that might take because this is pretty much an unprecedented situation. Then others wouldn't start to think they are just pulling people along for a ride.

Smart move, btw for AE with Matt's newfound celebrity with his show and all. However, we are back to why try to get so much interest when you just have no idea when you are going to release a documentary?

Randy: That's the same pictures/video of Matt that's been around for a few years from an old interview - it's not a 'new' revelation. That same trailer has been on the Erickson website for a long time also.

Nothing new...

Yeah? My bad. I don't recall seeing Matt in the trailer when I last saw it. I realize the trailer changes from time to time.

Crap! Nothing to see here!

Don't want to C-block Chris Noel on this but he pointed out that Melba Ketchum just posted this on her Facebook page:

"Ok, for the sake of time (and I hope all of you understand), I will answer everyone publicly here. I keep getting a lot of emails from everyone wanting to know the status of the project. Though I cannot give details or timing, I will assure everyone that all is well and we are continuing to move forward. Good science cannot be forced or quickly completed. If it is not extremely thorough, then it will all be for naught and any paper rejected outright. So, I ask you to be patient and understanding and realize that extreme scientific overkill is required in order to convince a world full of skeptical scientists. “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof”. This is what we are doing. When we started this, I thought we would be finished in a few weeks, but instead as Sasquatch are known to do, they threw us curve balls even with their DNA which can be as elusive as they are. Thank goodness we are past that! As a result, we have assembled a renowned team, each of us with our own specialties to make this project “extraordinary”. If everyone will hang in there, I promise it will be worth the wait. We have the proof, now just give us the opportunity to present it in a form that will even convince skeptics. Thanks so much for all of your emails and support. Best wishes to all.
Melba Ketchum"

The DNA curve ball sounds interesting and full of intrigue. Fully agree with getting things ready in such a manner as to literally hit like 4 grand slams in a roll in the World Series. However, it’s my belief that even the harden critic will find something wrong and others will feed off that one thing; which in turn will lead to other areas to knock the forensic evidence down.

…..it’s human by all standards to be hardheaded even when it jumps up and bites you in the six.

hmmm...fair enough...wait and see what they produce. My opinion is this is exactly what this group has wanted to happen, all of this discussion here on the BFRO, other forums blogs and groups...they have been playing their cards right...they wanted to create all this hype...although its a gamble..if it doesnt pan out or live up to the hype storm ( which I believe they intentionally created ) it will back fire on them and some reputations and credibility are going to be on the line so its going to have to be very extraordinary, grounbreaking....the whole thing..

Fair enough...wait and see what comes to light

Eric, though I don't understand the need for hype. If you present me with close-up video and DNA assurance then people are going to be pretty excited. Maybe I have been too harsh on them as they are probably figuring this all out as they go...

But for Dr Ketchum to use words like "we have the proof" makes me think that we aren't being strung along nor misled. This is just how long it took. Let's hope the video is as awesome as described so all of us can have some vindication for all the bull**** we've all had to deal with over the years being believers. I don't think many people understand what it is like being into this topic because to a non-believer they look at it as a credibility flaw that might carry over into other areas of your character, so admitting you are into this involves some courage!

Wow, John, you sound like a rough cynic like me! But from what Ketchum wrote, they have assembled a team and seemingly have the proof and are working on the presentation of it--this leads me to believe they have a lot of evidence and want to present it in a manner that all can process. I hope they take a simple approach. "We have proof of the existence of a North American Great Ape" Maybe they can have folks like Jane Goodall on hand too.

When it comes to critics and the forensic can jump up and bite them in the six, yeah I can be a little cynic.

The website no longer exists. All I'm getting is an ad to register a new domain.

Any news yet?

No one has said anything new that I am aware of. There's a chance that they are ready to go and have decided to take the site down or re-do it.

If they delay anymore I will be done with them and consider them scam artists.
