| Looking around on the Internet is seems one can buy III gen. Night vision and III gen.Thermal for around the same amount of money. I have used both on Expeditions and know which one I would buy first. I'm wondering what others think!!?? |

The decision of which one to buy for yourself should be based on what you intend to do with it. There are things that the night vision can see that thermal won't and vise versa. The night vision will allow you to walk through total darkness without any lights but if there's something standing perfectly still just inside the bush you won't see it. The thermal see's heat so that thing that's standing perfectly still just off the trail will stand out like a sore thumb. They're both terrific toys. PBYodeler |

| I would say thermal because anything in the wood that is giving off heat (animals) is a sore thumb on the thermal |
