Does anybody on here have enough electronics knowhow to be able to tinker with a process and different bits of electronics to see if they could figure out how to build a trap cam from supplies that could be bought in bulk?
It occurs to me that a lot of us have limited discretionary budgets and that the prospect of a single trap cam being as expensive as they are can be a bit daunting
I was thinking, if somebody is good at building small electronics that could figure out how to build one, and then BF enthusiasts could get together, pool some resources, buy in bulk, and then assemble our own, we either greatly reduce the ammount spent on trap camera gear, or greatly increase the number of trap cameras for the same price depending on your preference
I know if somebody could post specs and step by step instructions I would organize a puget sound camera building
Get 10+ enthusiats together, pool resources, make one purchase to get bulk discounts, divide up the supplies and then even assmble them in a group for anybody that wanted to work with help while assembling
I know if I could get the cameras for half as much I'd build twice as many to get out in the field and double the number of locations I could monitor |
