I'm gonna pull a cowboyman here and ask if anyone on the Texas expedition has anything they'd care to share?

Thanks Eric. I was thinking the same thing when I saw the calendar and realized the expedition ended yesterday. Hopefully everybody got home safe and sound and had a good trip? Looking forward to hearing about the adventure.

Hi ya'll,
TexEx was a blast. Weather did not want to cooperate with the expo but we "weathered" it out. I had my 14 yr old daughter with me and watch her interact was priceless. I wont release any details till cleared, but we had some finds.

Jerry, it's all cool just don't release names or the location(they already know it was in Texas) and you should be ok. by the way they already know Troy(aka TEXBFRO) and I. Ron

Cool Ron. Ok we found possible structure and several prints. I heard a squatch call roboron by name and Ron answer back. We heard many possibel howls, growls and whoops. I think the best one was on the first night when everyone went to the motel, due to weather. My daughter and Ihad just bedded down for the night and one other squatcher was camped in his suburban. All was quiet and then another attendee drove up. Just after he turned off the lights of his vehicle, my daughter and I heard a moaning growl. My daughter asked what that was and I told her that was her first squatch experience.

For me this trip was awesome! While there was no class A encounters, the class B evidence was in an extreme abundance... As body_guard said.... Lot's of things going on.
The opportunity to learn from several people who have been involved in this research or were originators of various techniques was well worth the trip.
What amazed me was the amount of activity close to base camp. Each morning new sign was found within a hundred yards of there.

I aquired knowledge that I believe will help identify squatch habitat in almost a 100% certainty.

By the way...... The food was outstanding... I went hoping to lose a little weight and may have gained some.

I know that you guys can't give out the location, but could you say if this was in the panhandle, or south of that, more in the interior of the state? North of Dallas? Etc. I'm just amazed because I'm familiar with the panhandle, but it seems so wide and open, I can't imagine that being a good spot. It just doesn't seem like enough places to hide. Unless like has been mentioned before where they are hiding in plain sight. It sounds like it was a wonderful trip though, and I'm happy for you guys!

Never mind. I answered my own question. I didn't think there had been a lot of sightings in the panhandle, and I just went back to refresh my memory. There is one county in the panhandle with a sighting.

Everyone has the same reaction, "if you listen hard enough you can hear them call anyones name." However, we could have sworn someone was talking to Robo and after questioning all atendees, it had to come from the "woods".

Cool stuff guys!

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you made it back alive.
Too bad about the weather. Did anyone get recordings of the vocalizations?
How about track castings? Anything worth casting?

No it really happened, about 4am after a deep howl outside of the camp site there was 2 grunts that I and Jerry both thought sound like B was calling my name from his tent in between ours, but he said he was sound asleep and didn't do it.
So I said,"yeah,I heard it." thinking I was responding to B. Then about an hour or so later me and 4 others heard something walking around camp and messing with the coolers that was behind my tent. That was early Sat. morning. We told MM about all this who thought all this was"Awsome" but thought it was funny that we thought the squatch was calling my name. I did too until Jerry said he heard it as well. Now I don't know what to think. By the way I confirmed that no one was out of thier tent and messing with the coolers that was with the Exp.

Now I'm not saying that we heard a clear "Ron" but more of a grunt that was mistaken for it. It sounded like a muffled one sylable sound that resembled my name which isn't that far pitched.

Big man, you know they were calling you out. Take out the big one and the rest will fall. It was probably a female that thought you were cute

I am putting my 2 cents in here....yes activity was in and around camp....as it has always been for the last 2-3 years there.......some calls while out in the field and tree knocks.......even during the day one possibly followed two of us into the field and when we seperated they he didnt like that....so.......if one is wanting the experience and know what happens......put in for one of the expeditions and attend.....its worth the $$...just ask our Texas Group......thanks everyone on the Tex Expedition...it was great.....

In regards to the ...$$.....
It may have been some of the best tuition I ever spent. To be able to be in the field with people who have developed many of the field techniques now used in this research would have been enough. The activity was just the icing on the cake.
It only makes me want more. I learned sooooo much.

This trip fully put in perspective just how difficult this research is.And it only added to to the wonder of this truly magnificent creature.I was borderline obsessive before this trip, now I am fully addicted. I can only stand amazed .

I came in with some major baggage from a fairly frightening prior experience, all of the parties involved on this trip help me gain a little more power over that. I was treated with respect, and given tools to help me get into the field.
Thanks to all of you that attended... You gave me more than you know.
