I will say there was a Class A sighting on this Expedition. The report has been submitted by me to the Expedition Leader. BFRO report pending.

Dang! I'm from Texas, and would love to hear about this expedition. Can any of the members of the expedition post a summary?

Everyone: The organizer is the person who posts the report, then if someone who attended wants to chime in they can. I'll send a note to the organizer and see if they have a report available. They most likely don't frequent this forum.

Everyone - This will be put on hold. One of Sybillas children has been hospitalized and as you can imagine, Sybilla is by her side.
I'll let you know when there is more to report. Please send good thoughts her way...

Thanks for asking, Drewb67. Last week I got an email stating she was still in a lot of pain, but doing better. I don't feel I can give personal details but will certainly keep everyone informed when I can.

For the record,
I was in my vehicle in the back parking lot of the campsite. I was too tired to drive back to my remote camp just coming off trails. Anyway, I fell sleep in my SUV. I awoke, my face toward passenger side window....I was sitting in my reclined bucket seat. Wow, I see a BF as stepping to my right by the brush-line by this parking lot. It stood still...it took my breath away, took four mins to compose my breathing (caught it all on my audio recorder). It was about 40' away, from measurements later. It slowly changed to a forward position in micro movements. It then lowered leaning forward and rocking side to side. I saw mostly a silhouette, but rough outline of hair, did not see eye shine, seemed like cone head. I did not want to light up my phone camera to alarm it during this event. I finally reached for my thermal, but did not keep a good eye on it while doing this....before I knew it, it was gone when I lowered the window. I was the only witness in my vehicle, wondered if I dreamed it. But, I caught the event on my recorder talking to myself on what I was seeing, had thermal footage of what I tried to catch. Later in my recorder, while asleep, one hour prior, here something striking my SUV 9 times, last one pretty hard. Another Exp member was in her vehicle with her husband, about the same time, 4am time frame, she heard a howl that woke her up. She also heard something moving thru the brush by the parking lot. I am not positive where she was parked. I left early later that morning in rush, dismissing it all, so never checked for footprints. I went back later and took measurements. I placed my SUV in the same spot for reference. 40' away from BF...it was 9' tall.

Thanks, Gabriel. I was up in the Sam Houston, last year, parked on a FS road and swear i had one standing a long arms reach from my truck. It was a blacker spot in the darkness...a musty smell crept in..and i could "feel" something looking at me. A lot of people, including some friends think i'm nuts but i learned in the Army to trust that creepy "I'm being watched" feeling. My best friend was a non-believer until i dragged him out to the Indian Mounds and we heard a distant howl and a couple of wood knocks. He swore he saw something looking(eye shine) at us from the brush a few yards away on our second night... all he kept talking about was the size of the eyes looking at him. He's not a true believer but now he has the seeds of doubt sown...and he more willing to listen than scoff.
