Babs: I moved your original post to the video section because of the title. I then watched the video and it could have stayed here - sorry about that. Anyway, I will leave this post and the other one for the time being.
For those of you who have limited internet resources, this is a 20+ minute video. Beware of limits placed by your provider so you don't exceed them.

At 2:19 I can't believe a bear would knock over a mineral lick than set the tray looking object on top of it. Would they even be able to pick up that tray? It looks like a dog dish and they are made to not tip over easily. It would be hard to grab it without fingers. Buena Suerte |

You would be amazed what a bear can do with it's claws. Almost like fingers. As long as they can get the tips of their claws under something then it's going over if they want it to. PBYodeler |

Yes, they can operate their claws with amazing precision. Somehow I think it would take a more intelligent creature than bears to actually attack the cameras.
But again, to me it looks very much like bears on the images. |

| Doesn't look like any bear I ever seen, it couldn't be the legs and arms are to long. |

Bears do "attack" cameras but they do it by biting and chewing on them when they do it. They don't smash cameras. And I think Matt explained the reasons for any animal attacking a camera.
And you've made your point about what you think is in the photos. I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise so I expect you to have the same courtesy for everyone else. You've said you think it's a bear pretty much every time you post and we get it but it's not going to change our minds any more than our views are going to change yours so lets just leave it at that and get on wit hthe discussion about the interview mentioned in the first post here. | Dr. Meldrum could tell the proportions were wrong for a bear even after the Pennsylvania Game Commission spokesman said they thought it was a bear. Later on the investigations confirmed the proportions were not of a bear and the PGC still have never investigated the site or had any kind of proof whatsoever to back up their original claim. |

In 2007 they had to deal with mass panic so they didn’t care about proof. What did they say in 2008? That’s when Vanessa Woods published the science article that worked out the size of the Jacobs Creature that supported the primate theory. A Discovery Channel feature writer and great ape researcher/scientist that worked in the Congo should have meant something. Tim Wilson |
