Derek Randles will be available to answer questions about the tracks, but not about the area where the tracks were found.
There is a private property involved here, along with a lot of cameras that will be set up in the nearby woods over the next few weeks.

We are hoping to receive more information about activity in the Puget Sound region of western Washington State.

| I looked at all the snow track reports and I believe this one is the real deal. My question is, out of all the 24 tracks, was it a single animal alone? And is there any idea how old the snow tracks were? |

When a sasquatch is moving slower (i.e. their tracks show a shorter stride) the pattern is more like the zig-zag pattern of a human walk. As the stride gets longer, however, the footprints are more or less directly in front of each other.
Now if you look at the Wisconsin pattern, the prints were long strides and straight. Just as much Snow!

Rictor, I'm pretty sure the tracks were about 4 or 5 hours old.
There was only one animal. It left tracks the day before but they were very melted. |

I was in the area due to an investigation. Two days before the tracks were found we heard many vocalizations in the area. Since then we have gathered several hair samples, some of which are now under study. The research there is on-going. We have several cameras deployed, and continue to search the area vigorously.
The snow was only about 2 or 3 inches deep. There was only snow left in the meadow. |

Too melted to tell, but like some of the others, it could be rabbit jumping in deep snow. None of the traks are fresh and have no detail. Above pic #1 are some simular traks but cant see them very well. I have hunted Rabbit befor and thats the way Im leaning.

The tracks above pic one are my tracks.
All due respect, these are not rabbit tracks. I've been a wildlife tracker for 23 years, and I can assure you, I do know the difference. These tracks were not made by a rabbit. The tracks continued into the woods for some distance. Up grades, down hills and around corners. I followed them until they came to a hard pack dirt road where I lost the trail. These are not the only Bigfoot tracks found at this site. |

I've hunted rabbits also and used to live in New Hampshire where they have snowshoe hares, the only problem I have with your theory is the rear part of the footprint is way to wide to be a rabbit. most of the rabbit tracks i've followed in the show have a definite triangular shape to them due to the fact that the front feet are smaller and more round than the rear feet that are placed around and in front of the front feet.and the snow just wasn't deep enough for the body of the rabbit to be rounding it off IMHO.
I always am looking for the naturtal cause for something like this BEFORE jumping to the conclusion it HAD to be Bigfoot. in this case I can't say rabbit at all. at least not from the photos shown here.

| at first glance i thought they might be old snowshoe tracks, but when i enlarged them (am using a crappy old PC atm) you can see that they do indeed look "humanish" (in the fact that the shape and the such resembles an overly large human track). very interesting find... |

The stride was really amazing. Even down through the woods it never really short stepped. I found it impossible to match. |

also, have you noticed a pattern in the way a BF walks? as in do they always walk in a straight line like theyre on a mission to go somewhere and not meandering here and there in a random pattern? you can tell feeding tracks of a deer as well as a track of a buck on a mission when he's looking for a receptive doe during the rut.

I was in the area investigating a report. The tracks were found on the third day of the investigation. |

Every good track line I've ever found travels in a very straight line, with the exeption of terrain and obstacles. I found one track line in the Blue Mts that actually walked backwards in a straight line in and out of a tree line. |

backwards? how could you tell that? and why would they do that? that one sounds like the work of a hoaxer to me. if the BF was trying to avoid being seen it might back up for a short ways to get back into cover then turn and exit the area. thats my take on it.

IT walked out of the tree line about 4 steps, and then instead of turning around it just backed up. I think it might have had it's eyes on something. There was a foot trail about 40 yards away. I'm guessing here, but I think it saw something on the trail and backed up slowly. |
