What the hell?!!


Teshima nerfed Zeph's speed!! now Zeph is slower than Philo!! I hate this version!!

EDIT: yeah, he has gotten so much slower in mech mode compared to .10N. you can control his God Bird mode again, though (which is technically back to .10N).

cerb has even better melee now. i can't figure out the modes for his special, though. sometimes the funnels just fire by themselves. He doesn't seem as spammy as he used to be, which I think is a good thing.

i also like that arjuna's transition to sniper mode is so much faster now.

Vortex, at each new release you keep complaining about Zeph, but as we know, Teshima is trying to improve the balance of it's game !

In .10O, he removed its invincibility dash because some players were using it permanently, gaining a huge advantage over their opponents and then using the mech form fast movement to escape while reloading the boost to start over again.

By slowing down mech form in this version, he brings a substantial risk for the plane mode users who want to try and use invincibility dash strike : if they do, they may get stranded on the ground afterwards, ensuring that they get hit by the enemy, this way, Zeph can't remain as buffed as he was before, while still being able to use his invincibility dash.

You should try and open your mind to other mechs of the game, you'll see what I mean...

I know Teshima is trying his best to improve the balance of the game, but he put too much disadvantages on Zeph in this version...

Zephyrus, being a light mech, has low AP and low shield points... by slowing down it's speed, zeph is now very weak and impractical to use!

I just don't get it.... why would Teshima make a light mech very slow? no one in their right mind would use that kind of mech......

despite that, I'm still going to play this version with cerb while I'm waiting for Teshima to fix it... but if he doesn't then I think I'm going to lose my faith on zeph...



p.s. btw, my complaint in .10O thread was a mistake, so don't mind it.

zeph has plane mode, and in that mode he is the fastest. i think that more than makes up for his reduced speed in mech form. and the fact that his best asset is turning into a plane gives more incentive to use that ability instead of playing him like ica or phil.

To be honest, I really dislike Zephy before. Airplane mode was cheap as hell.

Godbird mode makes it cheaper.

Cerberus's melee is almost as interesting as Thor's.

Assuming default controls, here are the combos:
BV - The basic and boring one that hits the enemy upward.
BBV - Cerb swings his weapon smacking down.
BBBV - Cerb hits three times and then does 1 flip.
BBBVV - 2 flips
BBBVVVV - 3 flips (The V's might actually be just 3, but hitting it 4 times ensures that you do 3 flips)

If you hit B's after doing the combos, then Cerb will release the firestorm too.
BVB - Releases 1 firestorm below while enemy is above.
BBVBB - Cerb swings his weapon smacking down and releases firestorm.
BBBVBBB - Cerb hits three times, does 1 flip, and releases firestorm.
BBBVVBBB - 2 flips and releases firestorm.
BBBVVVVBBB - 3 flips and releases firestorm.

I've used that flip and dodged stuff before, against mets when he used the melee skills for icarus( that circle of blade beams b+v) accidentally, and now i see lots of uses for it in the future!

Usually I play Ica because of his good dodge & high boost recovery rate.

1. But what is Zephys "invincibility dash" & how can I use it ?

2. Has anything changed on Ica ? I havnt noticed any changes while playing.

1. Invincibility dash is a simple maneuver in plane mode where Zeph goes post combustion and is surrounded by an energy field, allowing him to ram through enemies, just hit boos while in plane mode...

2. I think Teshima just slowed down the homing beam launch, the aren't shot in an instant anymore but instead go successively after the target in a short delay...

let's see...Arjuna now has 60 gatling bullets (i believe it was 30 before) and the time between them is almost nothing! pretty fun to use, easy to really pin somebody down with it now

zeph really doesn't feel too unplayable...still has a good dash

cerb's tentacles are weird now...is there just a time delay between when they shoot? not so useful...though his melee is a lot of fun, and more interesting than his old style...
on top of that, his main doesn't have an explosion anymore...and his firestorm! thinner, but so fast!

only difference i see on Ica is that his homing beam, when shot in the spider web way, now goes in rows...instead of all 6 chasing the enemy at once, it goes bottom 2, middle 2, top 2...

Giga's main cannon bullet design is slightly different i think...on top of that, it homes a lot near the end, not as much early, and i think the explosion radius is a touch smaller...though i may be wrong on all of that...

I hated the old Cerb, but I like the new one : full melee power with a nice ranged touch... I really think that his subrange is overpowered though : too much range, speed and height....

I also what thinking about that Cerb is overpowered now.
But its still awesome playing him.
I already liked him in 5D.

I really would like a Mesh that is able to run very fast.
There is a Mesh like that in Gundam vs Gundam on PSP.
That Mesh can also turn hisself Golden. I think that happens when he is injured.
But unfortuantly I dont know his name because everything is in japanse.
