RobHo I understand that a comparison shot would help everyone, but I believe that Ammi has previously stated that she always does that herself before posting a photo.
December 21st, 2007 11:14 AM
DoryR But wouldn't it help if we saw both shots so then it would help us see the BF features better?
December 21st, 2007 11:30 AM
Eric Squatcher Here is the one Ammi posted earlier. I made a new cutout from the original.
I think I brought out some additional details.

I was told by Ammi that there are two shots of this one - taken one after another and they show movement between the two. This was the more clear of the two photos.

BFSanctum If it were a tree trunk wouldn't it all be in focus? It is clear to me that the larger "face" is more in focus than the smaller one. The smaller one appears to be further back. I'm not a photagrapher so I could be wrong on that.

Any chance we can get that other shot too? It only makes since to post that other shot to clear up any question that it might be a tree.

LouBob Regarding shooting one and being charged with murder ... it won't matter the FIRST time. You're not going to be prosecuted for shooting a myth. These things are going to have to be defined as animal or whatever. It will take years in the courts, and any "rights" they have as a primitive race will certainly go before the Supreme Court. BUT, once the question is raised, I wouldn't want to be the one who shoots the second one because at that point, their status as a species will be in question.

I appreciate the point, but I would say that is purely conjecture at this point. If you kill a member of the genus Homo, then you have by definition committed homocide. I can't imagine the law giving you a pass just because you stupidly killed something you couldn't identify. Like I said, either way, would you want to be the one to test it?

No doubt they are a "species". The question is, to which Genus do they belong?

Kevin Ammi...
I have been following this thread from the beginning. Kinda hard to put down once I started reading it. Thanks for letting us live this experience through your posts. Anyway...I don't recall you mentioning if you have seen any eye shine. Have you ever peeked out at night and seen any?
December 21st, 2007 01:11 PM
hollywood I know what Ammi needs for of those teddy bear nanny-cams. You know....the teddy bear with a hidden camera inside. It sends a signal to a recorder. The "wookies" like to play with those toys she leaves out. Maybe the nanny-cam bear would catch a curious squatch in the act. Put in a late call to Santa.
December 21st, 2007 03:16 PM
Ammi Ahhhh holywood... that would be great. You would get closeups of an eye here, and a finger

Can you describe the face for me? To me it looks bear-like..and it looks like he has an afro?

I think it may have one of the pure black babies laying up on it's head.... I keep studying that area.....

As far as the tree trunk theory.... nope..the main face is in focus, and there is something (another one...I don't think tummy), below it, closer to me... and the one above is farther back, and also out of focus.

I did go shoot that spot today, from the same place... so as soon as I can get it on here, we will take a look see.
I am not seeing anything there today....

I don't have any birch trees in there, so I know it isn't

It may seem I ignore this thread for long times, but I am pouring over many shots, to make sure, I don't have a stump squatch posted..even if it is a "mud squatch"

I can understand people wanting to see themselves... but you have to understand I am also working with others, and having them verify the upload time it takes.... I only get 24 hours for each day....

What I really need for x-mas is longer days...heh heh
December 21st, 2007 03:17 PM
Ammi Oh, and I would say I have a normal life to live, outside of all this...but lately...hmmm, naw..that would just be a lie....
December 21st, 2007 03:53 PM
todd I heard you on that raido show talk about a "money shot" if I am correct, I said that and got a scolded [;[; just kidding hey I would be willing to flip the bill on a nanny cam a buddy of mine sells stuff like that so I could get some pretty darn cheap could be worth a try? If not that is cool just a thought. keep it up Ammi you are gonna get me divorced yet. lol you are doing awesome!!! Todd
December 21st, 2007 04:37 PM
dtallman Great picture, Ammi!! Other than the "babysitter" picture, your family of bigfeet don't seem to favor our typical idea of a bigfoot. I don't notice any fur (or at least not much) on the faces and they seem to look more human than animal. I was expecting fur covering the whole body. I love his dread locks!!
December 21st, 2007 05:38 PM
MarkR I'd be willing to pitch in as well...maybe we should think about a BFRO member sponsored technology drive for Ammi!!!! :-) We could all pitch in and buy the latest and least that way we wouldn't be able to complain anymore, right?!
December 21st, 2007 05:46 PM
LouBob Todd - what's the range on a nanny cam? If it's up to 80 yards or so, that might work. Oh, and "money shot" is slang for THE shot. It has its roots in paid photography, of course, but nowadays that term is loosely applied to any uniguely special shot. I can get a great shot of a friend making a complete fool of themselves at a party, or a dramatic shot of a speaker making a point during a lecture, and could call both a money shot. I don't know why that would have gotten a scolding.

GoatBoy - I disagree. All of our laws are written for the human race, or homo sapiens. BF is not homo sapiens. Even a lousy defense attorney will win with the point that shooting a homo-something isn't covered by current law. You're not going to find references in any law that say, "... or any other near-human." Except perhaps in philosophical university texts based on Star Trek law - and they do exist. I believe there are other threads on this topic - perhaps one of the moderators could point you toward those.

PBYodeler It will be up to Ammi whether or not anything like this happens but one thing everyone should remember is that helping her out financially or with donations of equipment will not give the donors any right to her photos or any other information she collects. We can't expect any more than what she's already giving us but what we do get will be, hopefully, of better quality.

December 21st, 2007 05:54 PM
MarkR I don't want anything in return; maybe just the satisfaction of knowing that these creatures are real...and that there is irrefutable evidence.
December 21st, 2007 06:02 PM
LouBob That's an important point -- according to the law, any photo, video, recording, etc. is the property of the one who made it. It is a creative work product. You also automatically have the copyright. You do NOT have to file the paperwork with the government to establish ownership of something you already own -- unless for some reason, you just want extra documentation in addition to your own negatives or date-stamped digitial file. You can sell or otherwise sign it over to someone else, but unless you do that you own the copyright and all rights to publication (except for that covered under fair use, such as educational purposes). You only lose it if you fail to "stake claim" or defend it, which a judge would recognize as saying that you don't care about it.

Ammi can shoot photos with my camera and I have no legal claim to them, because those photos are HER work. I may have a reasonable expectation to a public thank-you, but there's no legal requirement that she do that -- unless there is a contract involved specifying that. (No, we don't have a contract, and she has acknowledged use of, and gratitude for, other individuals' equipment on this site.)

Not that I would think that we have any fame/money-seeking folks on this board, but PBYodeler's point is well taken because everyone simply needs to know what's what regarding everyone's rights.

And don't get me started on public record and public domain - that would require a different thread on photographic law. But if there's interest, we can start one. Some of y'all are shooting on public property in parks and such, so there may be a need.

tghansen Am i the only one who sees a much larger hairy head to the left complete with nostrils and an eye?
December 21st, 2007 07:53 PM
Southman Whew! Thanks for the question, tghansen! I was getting weary of legalities involving homicide and usurping Ammi's rights.

In answer to your question; yes, I do see that head.

mudzillaefi Killing a bigfoot couldn't be construed as murder as it is an undiscovered animal. It has no rights, no protection by us as it is still considered an urban legend and not entitled to protection under the law. If one was shot and whether the shooter would be charged with manslaughter is purely an academic arguement. What is for sure here is, we have someone who claims to be seeing multiple entities around her home and is proclaiming it here for all your benefit. It is interesting reading, but highly questionable to say the least. Whether or not anyone one of us believes any of this is again purely an individual right. I for one do not. But that is my opinion for which I am entitled. Common sense tells me that if these creatures were in the numbers mentioned here, there would no doubt be opportunities for good photos. The mere fact that they come within feet of her house, as we were told to play with a tag on a power meter should provide a wealth of chances to glimpse or otherwise photograph these animals. Lets take whitetail deer for instance. i have hunted these animals for 30 of my 39 years on this earth and have seen every form of behaviour these animals can exhibit. They are very curious animals and even when coming in face to face contact with people will most times run a short distance away then stop to turn around to look at what they were spooked by. Now, we are talking about an animal that weighs in excess of 500 to 700 lbs full grown, has a very harsh odor, screams, growls, and usually makes a hasty escape when man is present. Again I wouldn't call anyone a liar who is sincerely interested and searching for the truth. Apparently Ammi is doing just that. In my opinion, there are reasonable and very commonplace explanations for what she is experiencing. Jane Goodall spent years habituating the chimps of gombi to her presence. That may be true here as well. But my thing is, let the experts handle this as the BFRO is full of these, or give Jeff Meldrum a call and let him come to your place in secret. I am sure he can be talked into it if you have the amount and frequency of activity? Ammi has already admitted to being a novice at this, so why not let the experts handle it? But as it is her land and her biznass, it is her decision. Patiently waiting Ammi. NOT.
December 21st, 2007 10:07 PM
Ammi Hey ya'll,
Where I would love to have all the fancy stuff that would help, there is a reason that I prefer to borrow it, rather than have it gifted to me.

I don't want anyone to have any reason to say I have other motives in this...including money.
I can see where someone who is doing what I am, could exploit it..but I am not into that.
My goal is, and will remain, to study them, and share with the no kill BF community.
So that others who take so much time to learn about them, can have a little more knowledge about them, just as I am learning more as I go along.

I will accept things to make this easier, or things to help feed them..but don't want folks going crazy on any gifts to them here, or on equipment.
I accepted Gazza's camera, because he said it was used, and he was getting another, and not using it anymore.... And I sooooooooooo thank him for that!!!

LouBob and dr_timbo have brought them treats, and loaned equipment, jonpatton has taken the time to come and photograph, and many of you have taken much time on here, and the phone, to help me as well... and I will always be very greatfull for that!!

I also hold a special place for the BFRO, who let me know what was here in the first place, and continued support on here, and ongoing study here at the house... that includes so many of them..and Don and Tommy, my original investigators....
Without the BFRO, many of use would never had know what they were, or how to recognise the sounds and signs of them at all. Many owe them thanks for that...
Even tho I am not BFRO myself, I do have a loyalty to them, for all they have done here, other areas, and will continue to do, I'm sure.
They are a great group of people.

OK..on to todays posting....
Someone left me a sweet little one to look at, when I was taking pics.
I guess it is time to share that also.

December 21st, 2007 10:24 PM
Ammi Hmmmmmmmmmm...
Now, we are talking about an animal that weighs in excess of 500 to 700 lbs full grown, has a very harsh odor, screams, growls, and usually makes a hasty escape when man is present.

Where these things have been reported, in connection with them... and I do have some big ones here also..but they seem much more shy...
These discriptions are the minority in the ones here....
I have been growled at, as well as others have here...
LouBob, dr_timbo, and Don Tart BFRO had his wife growled at in my presence here.

Others have heard them whistle, knock, screach, laugh, giggle, walk, and chatter here.
So it not a matter of one woman trying to just convince anyone, from here.... sorry if anyone missed out, but I don't have anything to "prove" about them being that has been proven and verified, by some very sane people...

Footprints and handprints, em.
Being in contact with serious people who study..yep..doing it..altho it will not be discussed here... but it is being done.
Who is an expert on them?
Not even me..and I have contact daily.... with a large group of BF, and others who have been doing this same thing for years.

You do have everyright to not believe... but you have no solid evidence...that this is not real..and I do have evidence..that it is.
When did I ever say that I don't have better pics?
I just share what I share.... to take everyone on the same path that I have taken, to know what I do....
If it isn't fast enough ...everyone also has the right to do this for themselves..and try to do it faster.... good luck with that...

With that said...

Here is a little one.... who does have alot of hair... as I said before..they come in different colors, and only some of them are barely hairy.... and they just happen to show up better in the brush....

December 21st, 2007 10:25 PM
Ammi It will need some is dark haired, against a brush pile...
December 21st, 2007 10:39 PM
jondpatton You go're AWESOME!!!

December 21st, 2007 11:28 PM
Ammi I'll get that to ya Eric.... it is zoomed from pretty far out.
I think the lighter brown round things in the front, belongto the hand of the bigger face left above it in the brush... like it was being held out there for a look see.

They have gotten to showing of the little ones more, when I am out there alone.
Out in plain sight, but at a distance.
Makes me wonder if they are really smart enough to realize I have a zoom lens?
That is just unreal to me..for them... but it almost seems that way at
More doen't think I can see that far, and is giving the little one a view of me...
"This is a human... you have to stay away from them" They start em young...

By the way...this is on my barn side... yep..not just big ones..found out it is a different whole family there, that moved in...
I may need some wookie condos?
I have no idea how many there yet... the are the ones who chase me out of there.
I took this from the porch, with LouBob's zoomer....heh heh...

I will love to see the tweeks on this one...

Ummmm.... names? Not sure if it is a boy or girl... alot cuter than yesterday's Eric.
But can it whistle?
December 21st, 2007 11:29 PM

December 22nd, 2007 12:01 AM
Southman why was my observation concerning
these photos deleted?
December 22nd, 2007 12:04 AM
DoryR I noticed something was wrong. I saw that you posted but the whole page was blank and now it is gone altogether. Some glitch in the system I suppose.
December 22nd, 2007 12:04 AM
Ammi Thanks... I am trying hard to concentrate on Christmas....
I may have to slow this thread down..til after the big we all don't end up with coal in our x-mas
