I didn't get a PM yet
December 29th, 2007 12:45 PM
DoryR I sent the pm to FBF-that is who I quoted and said I sent the pm to. :) On how to post a photo
December 29th, 2007 01:09 PM
Dave_F This thread and the two others by Ammi are just fantastic. One of Ammi's photos just freaked me out, its so like my sighting from 1990 in Giles County, Va. Great to find a place where we all can share. Thanks so much Ammi.

If they were being presented as "proof" then they offer none, none at all, not even close to anything remotely. I think that some people are thinking that Ammi is posting these pictures to prove that a group of BF is living around her house. That's not the case at all, she is just posting them to share with the message board members here. If she snaps an interesting picture for the message board, great, if not that's okay too.

Paul, You mention something I forgot to say and it's the most important thing of all. These pictures are not being posted as proof. With some, no matter how you try to explain that, they still can't get it out of their heads that they're being posted as proof. Nothing could be further from the truth.

ediedugan Just one last thing a "little" off topic. I believe where Ammi lives is in Native American territory and has been their territory. What better place for Sasq. to live unmolested and respected??
I don't know what "bug" bit us when we were small but I was also intrigued when I first heard of an encounter in my area and before that...by my first book. Either you have the love for them, or you don't...simple as that. Maybe they are calling to us, maybe they need help. Who knows. I am intrigued by the possiblity of them having ESP.
Ammi, I agree with everyone else, you stay safe and don't let our excitement pressure you into doing something that is against your better judgement.

FBF Thanks for the help Dory and Chris! I finally got my pic uploaded.

I said earlier I would share one of my pics. Ammi shared a pic of a similar creature it was just quite a bit skinier. Maybe you can't see it...but maybe you can.

FBF :)

Eric Squatcher FBF- Thanks a lot for those program downloads. They are going to make this soooooo much easier to see details.
Can you give any further info on the photo you just posted?
Thanks-

I see possibly two small faces in the bottom right corner.
I see a larger one off center to the left, but can't really make out any specifics. I see what could be two eyes and a nose.
How bout a little help?

ES, you are seeing what I see. Also, look closer at the center, right, and the bottom left corner. Hmmm.... Guess that's why they are called BLOBsquatches. :)

I see the obvious face left of center. There are several other interesting areas. Good photo, FBF! I zoomed in to 400% and didn't get much pixilation at all!

MAnderson It is awesome thatt ps Ammi's posts have caused you guys to start posting pics that are not directly related to this thread. THAT is an indication of progressive thinking. This is the type of logic that threads like this ought to be producing. Thank you Ammi for sharing your experiences AND thus causing more of us to share our experiences with the group. THAT is what will expose the evidence that is considered "proof" for the naysayers and thus, the proof nfor the rest of the world. That is not to say that any more proof is needed for the "average" person; belief is belief. We know what we know.

Roboron Is it me or does somebody else see an adult face on the right and a infant on the left?
December 29th, 2007 11:28 PM
DoryR Well, as usual, I don't see anything other than sticks and twigs and leaves.
I swear I have to get an eye exam after New Year's... or else drink some egg nog tonight. LMAO

Great photo. How many creatures do you think are in this photo. I see what I would call the main creature left of the center of the photo. It looks to me as if its mouth is open???. And I something that looks a lot like a dog looking towards the camera in the bottom right hand corner. Sorry, if I am reading this badly. I am still a newbie at all this. Thanks for sharing the photo. Its a really good quality shot of the main creature I mentioned.

This is the most prominent face I see in the picture. I see others, but this one is the most clear to me.

Walt Folks can i interject something here. I've perused this thread thru all the pages and find a lot of exciting stuff going on but my input is about the pictures that have been posted. when i first started to learn how to fly..airplanes that is...back in 1968...i had to take a class three flight physical and part of the test...which was being conducted by the Air Force...as my behind belonged to them at the time....was a test for color vision and depth perception both of which i have a very difficult time with.... yes i'm getting to a point here. Anywho my color vision is less acute the closer certain colors are to each other..ie..i have problems with some shades of color like very dark blue and black...also they give you a test with a bunch of circles or dots and you are supposed to be able to see the numbers or objects in the picture...bet me...i never passed that one....so i say all of that to say this...maybe it's our eyes sometimes that don't allow us to see what others see in the pictures posted. It could be a problem with color vision or even depth perception. I can't really distinguish facial features or figures in the posted pictures because of graininess or blurriness but that does not mean that what others see doesn't exist, their eyesight can just be a heck of a lot better than mine. So unless the pictures are plain as day i just may not see what others see. So even though some of the pictures are blurry i have to give the benefit of the doubt to those who can see something that i cannot see. When my wife and i are out for a ride i like to have her drive so i can look around and i see a lot of deer that are fairly camouflaged against brush and trees etc but it's usually because i'm looking for a certain profile and maybe antlers something that seems out of place....maybe some movement or certain coloring that i expect to see when looking for deer or elk.
I would say cut the lady some slack with posted pictures that don't appear to be as acute as we would like them to be because it may be our vision that's part of the problem.

Thanks
Walt

Southman Walt,

Great post! I had never thought about color blindness preventing people from seeing details in these photos. It makes sense. When somebody says they don't see what another person sees...it could very well be that their eyes aren't sensitive to the details the other person sees. Fascinating!

Why do we see things differently? There are physical, psycological, social, environmental and genetic reasons. We are all unique individuals with unique perspectives.
We can learn a lot from this thread and these photos...about Ammi's creatures as well as ourselves.

Thanks, Walt!

DoryR Sorry if this shows up twice but this board is acting up. LOL

That is a good point. But I am not color blind (it is very rarely that a female would be) and I don't have a problem with depth perception. I am one of the few people I know who can look at those stereograms and see the photo stand right out at me.
I just don't see anything in the photos except for sticks and twigs and leaves and shadows.
Here is a few links.
This one is the color blindness test.

http://www.toledo-bend.com/colorblind/Ishihara.html

These two are each a link to a stereogram.

Eric Squatcher DoryR- Then maybe you need to stop putting off that eye exam. ;)

Vision is a precious thing to preserve. :)

FBF- Are you one of Ammi's neighbors? LOL
Those vines and leaves look awful familiar.
That is Definitely why they are called that.

DoryR- Oh good, I was worried about ya!

Southman What we get
...................

is what we see.

there's no accounting for it.......

absolutely

none.
December 30th, 2007 09:10 AM
Eric Squatcher Southman- Enough with the philosophy stuff, and get busy cropping and enhancing FBF's pic. ;)
December 30th, 2007 09:14 AM
PBYodeler IF we're going to start enhancing other pics then let's start a new thread so that there are no mistakes as to who's photos are who's. They'll get mixed up if we leave them on this thread.
