June 24th, 2006 05:05 PM Graham Bennison Fife AC Falkland Festival Hill Race Less than 24 hours after winning Friday nights Black Rock Race at Kinghorn, Ray Ward (Hunters Bog Trotters) won the 3 miles 1200ft race up the East Lomond. Ward clocked 20 minutes 37 seconds with Lars Ottermoller (Carnethy HR) the runner-up in 21.19. Adrian Davies followed in Carnethy colours, first veteran (21.37) with Chris Russell 4th – 21.57. Andrew Hood had an outstanding run to place 12th overall in 24.13, his second junior victory following his Hill of Tarvit win. Kate Fitzpatrick placed 22nd overall, first woman in 27.08 chased by Jocelyn Scott in25th – 27.54. Carnegie veteran Fabienne Thompson took the third female award while in 29th place overall Lucy Duff ran out of her socks to clock 28.19, first female junior, first local, first junior female local. Lucy will now need to invest in a large tin of silver polish ! Katy Tan was first home in the junior P4-7 race beating the male opposition with Hollie Keanie second girl.
