Jewel was performing at Bruce Philip Rockowitz's birthday party. He's a Canadian business man, engaged to Chinese pop star Coco Lee. Coco Lee recently posted pics from that performance and tweeted them to Jewel.

As a true Twitter addict, Jewel couldn't help but sending a few Twitpics updates during the week.Here's one from their last morning on the yacht.

She performed America the Beautiful and our very own Sandy, aka LeapBaby29 was in the audience !! Yes that's her on the left !! Happy 4th of July !!!!

You often hear musicians talking about how life on the road can get lonely. It can also be a lot of fun. That picture was taken last january, Jewel went cosmic bowling after a show in Dubuque, IA with her manager Virginia (on her right) and her assistant Amy (on her left).

She went back to where she grew up with Ty and his parents, they're spending a few days with Jewel's dad, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins.... She's also playing two shows there. She shared a few pictures of her childhood in Alaska in Chasing Down the Dawn. This picture above is one of my favorite : Jewel and her horse Clearwater waking from a nap, she wrote that she used to sleep curled up to his belly when he was laying in the sun.

She played two shows in Anchorage and Homer but she also spent a lot of time with her family : her father Atz, her brother Atz Jr, her grandma Arva, aunts, uncles, old friends. It was Ty's parents' first visit to Alaska and Jewel seemed really happy to show them where she grew up. She wrote a very detailed blog about their stay in Alska illustrated with beautiful pictures. This one is Karina's favorite !! Jewel and Ty in the outhouse Jewel grew up using, on the homestead she was raised.

One thing in particular that is obvious when reading her tweets is how much she loves food !!!!! She keeps posting about what she, Ty or George had for breakfast, lunch or dinner. In that way we feel close to her, because the members of the WJF always had a special thing for food with threads about our favorite recipes, our last meals, etc. Bon appétit !!!

Of all the pictures on Chasing Down the Dawn that one was always special to me, probably because it was taken by Sean Penn in Paris, right in front of Le Sacré Coeur in Montmartre. This is a very touristic place. Everytime I'm there, I can't stop but thinking about Jewel and Sean Penn walking around the streets of Paris. So last week end, I took Sandy there and of course we had to take THAT picture, that's what any Jewel fan would do, right ????

But I think every Kilcherian would agree : there was a before Twitter and an after Twitter in the life of Jewel fans !!!! Without Twitter, we would never know Jewel & Ty have this new passion for bikes !!! We followed the whole process : from the day Ty bought the bikes, to the safety classes, then getting the licence and now they spend week ends riding on Texas roads !!!!!

Chelsie and Louie are practising their next dance : the Texas two-step. I suppose a camera was following them and we can expect a little appearance of Jewel & Ty on the next DWTS !!!

Jewel knew that so many hard core fans were there, so she played an amazing setlist, resurrecting oldies like Angel Needs A Ride and Memoirs Of A Housewife and many WJF members got the chance to meet, interview or dance for Jewel Thanks to Sandy for the awesome picture !!
