Finally I can reveal that the first of this seasons Nightmares will be on Thursday November 26th.

It will be on the coastal path from Kinghorn to Kirkcaldy and back and will be exactly somewhere between 4 and 5 miles in length. The terrain is mixed. The paths are various widths and will be marked with flour arrows.

Race start is 7.30pm with registration from 6.30pm in the car park just to the south of the big pub as marked by the arrow on the attached map...
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?...&ay=686591&lm=0

Parking is in this car park plus it can be down the road beside the railway line as marked on this attached map...

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?...&ay=686843&lm=0

There are no changing facilities so come along ready to race.

Please bring a torch of some kind and £1 for charity donation purposes and all the usual enthusiasm and bewilderment.

Any questions about all the stuff I've forgotten to mention please ask here.

Thanks to everyone who came along to the opening adventure of this seasons legendary Nightmare Series.

It was dark, wet, slippy, muddy, treachorous and absolutely wonderful fun eh?

Neil Martin of Fife AC used the clever tactics of getting to the front, running fast and not falling over to win the race outright. Infact his time was only 10s off the course record as set during the bone dry Midsummer Solstice Nightmare. While Kit Garcin of St Andrews Uni beat many hardy male hill runners to be first female.

Below are the points so far. Males and females are separated and points awarde for position in gender. First place gets points dependent on the number of entrants in that gender. Plus 10 points are awarded as an attendance bonus. So Neil was 1st out of 30 males so he gets 30 points plus 10 pts bonus which gives 40 pts in total.

I'm afraid you don't get points for that.
