Michael Patschak going for the world record.

Does anyone know what the order of events is going to be?

I heard Jacton is going for the weak 2 man 4x8urrito record with some other guy. To my knowledge though, Jacton has never speed eaten a burrito in his life, let alone 2.

5th Annual Milton HS Intersquad Relay & Burrito Mile
This 5th annual event took place today at Milton HS in Alpharetta, GA under perfect weather conditions. The relay portion, teams chosen by the Burrathletes; Maddy Hassett & Matt Foley, waged a spirited and tight battle with many runners doing close to their 400m PR’s and some just goofing off and enjoying the day off from practice. To fill out and even the teams some of the sprinting corps joined in. As the relay progressed it was evident that the Blue Team of Matt Foley would have the lead going into the Burrito Mile portion of the relay/event. Soon all eyes were fixed on the Burrathletes and how they would do in their REMATCH and 2nd ever Burrito Mile. The Blue team was in first with Jordan Lewis scorching a 51.9 final leg (with Burrito in hand) and delivered said burrito to Matt Foley who began eating at a frenzied pace. It showed that Matt was back for revenge (and he had been practicing) as he ate the Burrito at a much faster pace then his effort in 2010. As Matt ate the White team finished their relay with 3rd-year anchor runner Allie Amos busting a 63.0 leg to deliver Maddy’s burrito. Maddy literally ATTACKED the Joey-Bag burrito from Moe’s like there was no tomorrow! As the beans & rice were flying it looked like Maddy was going to make up the White team’s deficit from the relay and boy did she in a BIG WAY!! Maddy finished her burrito in an astonishing 1:03.8!! (world record pace as Jamie Chandler’s eat split was 1:21.9 when she set the current record)! Maddy took off her MOE’S t-shirt and headed-off to run her mile. Matt continued to eat and eat well and it wasn’t too long before he left the consumption zone after a solid 1:53.2 eat split. At this point Maddy had about 150m lead but only after 600 meters Matt pulled up on and soon passed Maddy. Matt continued on and ran an impressive 5:32.0 mile split for a Burrito Mile time of 7:25.2! That maybe the 2nd-fastest Milton HS Burrito Mile with only Christian Scholz sub-7 performance from 2007 (the first sub-7 Burrito Mile ever) being better. With that Matt’s Blue team triumphed in a total team time of 31:42.5 for 10,000m on the track, a new event record!! All members of the winning team won McDonald’s gift cards for their efforts! Maddy pushed hard and ran a 6:49.2 mile split (10 seconds faster than her 2010 effort) and became only the 2nd woman to go under 8 minutes for the Burrito Mile with her 7:53.0 performance!! Maddy’s White team was timed in 32:35.3 for the 10,000m distance…a time that would have won all the previous relay/Burrito Mile efforts at Milton HS.
