Posted February 1st, 2010 10:40 AM IPOK, last night I wound up drinking and doing a little toking, so I was able to go to sleep around 2AM. Oh, and I showed my ex I have a spine. It was a good night.
I PMed Raven before I went to bed telling him he could send everything he has done, everything he's been submitted, etc., and I'd work on them non-stop today and then send them back so he could view them, make the necessary changes, etc., and you would all have the results up no later than tonight.
But did you know what Raven told me earlier yesterday that really fried my bacon and made it so I didn't care to work on them last night? Other than the Glam Slam and some other segments sent in by Dan, he'd received nothing else from anybody.
Now, let's recap. The XWF has the tendency to dip in and out of "shitville," it has seen some good days and some very not-so-good days. James, just like Shank before him, stepped in to revive it and keep it afloat. But the poor guy has been busting his ass for the past, what, two months now? He's 19-years-old... The kid's got his whole life he's trying to map out and get after. He can't be arsed to put up with this. When he and/or I receive NOTHING from the roster, what makes you think we want to GIVE anything? My entire Friday was spent doing the Anarchy results because Smitty got sick, James needed a break (in my opinion, though the machine would never tell me that) -- so I did them. It took me ALL day to do them because A) I didn't have much to work with, B) My computer was failing me due to me having ten-fifteen windows open, plus a whole bunch of IMs from people complaining. Playfully or not, hearing you guys complain is asinine. I've talked it over with one or two of the XWF veterans, and they agree with me: you shouldn't bitch. Least of all when you aren't contributing to the expediency of the results.
I know you all have lives, so do I. James has a life. Shank has a life. Everybody here, bar Peter Gilmour [;-)] has a life. But that's why we need everybody to contribute just a little bit. I'm talking ten-fifteen minutes of your time. Write up something small, it doesn't have to be glamorous, and send it to us BEFORE the deadline. That would make the WORLD of difference. James has a hectic schedule so I rarely get to chat with him one-on-one, and that makes this all "AAHHH!" for both of us. I'm rather clueless, he's tired... the results are late. If I had any idea whether or not anything's changed since James told me he'd received nill from you, then I'd know what's still left to do and I'd work my butt off to code them up and send them to Raven so when he got home he could be all like, "OMGZ!1!1~ Tim, you SAVED me! Finally, SOMEBODY gives me a BREAK!" But I have no idea what's going on, guys. This is annoying me. I jumped on board as the Anarchy General Manager to HELP Raven due to unforeseen events happening in Smitty's life that have more or less caused everything to fall back on James' shoulders each week.
It's not easy putting the results together and getting them up. When we should be focusing on angles/storylines and feuds, we're coding results and trying to catch up. We're falling behind wickedly.
So from here on out could you guys please take a more active role in the results? Send whatever you can get done to James and I (CC it to me, thanks) -- I'm begging you.
At this rate who knows when the results will be posted. I've already got the card booked and ready to be uploaded... I've extended the deadline this week to Thursday night instead of Wednesday so that maybe I can catch up and start formulating what's going to happen these next few months. But WE need help from YOU...
I'm going back to work soon... I have a social side of me that wants to get out of the house more often, too. I can't keep waiting around like this for my moment to "shine." I just can't. On top of that, I'm in another fed trying to keep active with a character I've only recently came up with, but it looks like I'm going to have to back out on that so I can devote 100% of my free time to "waiting."
Come on, guys. Please!
Anything that has already been submitted to James, could you re-submit to me? And anything that hasn't been submitted yet, send to both of us? I'm trying to be nice about this, guys.
But damn is this frustrating.

HOWEVER...let me know what mid-card matches need writing and I'll get them to you over the course of the night, boss. I can probably sneak a couple matches to you throughout the night at work...and then when i get home late tonight, i can probably get an upper-card match to you if there is any still needed.
Realize, though, that outside of the lack of segments, you have to understand that this card was HUGE and this is a HUGE Pay Per View, Al. It's gonna take a couple of days to crank out. That seems to be the norm, lately, for shows and PPV's but that's okay. People still wind up showing for the next show or PPV despite the lateness of the previous.
So...having said that...
...LET'S DO THIS!

Write the matches you want and allow others to take them on. You can help with storylines if you want to. Have someone take on the job of coding full time. Just some ideas. I would like to do a couple of matches, or whatnot, but it's near impossible to find that time. It should be changing though soon in a week or two as I'll have this computer o myself, but as of right now I have a hell of a time trying to get a schedule up for my e-fedding priorities.
But Ill try to get a segment into you Ramsden by tonight.
