Posted February 2nd, 2010 11:37 PM IPDespite being a massive flake last week, I have every intention of sticking around until the end of this month. I should make it known however that I'm gonna be MIA for a short time, hopefully only a day or two, as my laptop's AC adaptor is fucked. The cord part is frayed, with the wires exposed, and while I've gotten by on taping it up for a while, it's past the point of no return. I'm in talks with people about my warranty, which should cover it, but apparently things can never be as simple as just showing them the warranty and then them replacing it. I'm posting this from my parents' place, and understandably, I'm not driving 40 minutes just to write an rp. Will see you when it's sorted, hopefully in time for me to still make the next card.

Not really though, but they're taking an awful long time to sort this out for me, so I'm gonna try a couple of other options. Need the warranty to come through for me here though, cause I'm flat broke.

Warranty doesn't pay for physical damage. I understand where they're coming from, but that didn't exactly leave me in the best mood. On top of that, I can't find any store that has a spare end we can just solder on, which would make things so very, very simple.
Here's the slightly good news though. I've reached really far up my ass and found enough money to afford a brand spanking new adapter. Now, tomorrow or the next day I'll be getting in touch with one of the specific replacement companies (because apparently all the stores in my city are useless) and ordering myself a new part, which would then just leave me waiting for God knows how long for it to be delivered.
The progress is small, but it's still progress. Though, people really don't make these things as easy as they should be.
I'm going crazy here without a computer. Never thought it was that big of a deal for me, but apparently it is. I'm cut off from everything! I can't even go on Wikipedia and look up useless shit, which, surprisingly, is the thing that's annoying me the most. But it has been leaving me with a desperate desire to start rping again (even though I know that as soon as I get booked I'll procrastinate like crazy), which is making me think I'm going to try to stick around after class starts up again, when my original idea signing up was to just kill time over summer. I guess that's a silver lining.

I don't look up pron... I just consult my Raven-tron-5000 and that's all the pron I need. That and I consult Shank with the rating system. >.< I still can't believe I forgot how it went.
